Cut from our mothers, journeys begin
connected yet courageously seperated
we clasp onto the needs for unaffected
parents, for them to be good enough
Infallible, perfected, flawless, not feckless.
We grip an illusion, expecting to gain
everything they cannot give, no damage,
scars bleeding, until we all enter.
Inherited healing, welcoming wounds,
family by family, we no longer bleed
on our children, re-own our feelings,
ancestrally wealthy, mercilessly free.
